How to Make a Chocolate Covered Strawberry Mocha

In the true spirit of Valentine’s day which is coming up, we made a drink based off of an iconic Valentine’s treat – Chocolate covered strawberries! This espresso based mocha might sound like an odd combo at first, but give it a try – it’s really delicious. The key to making this recipe work is to mix the strawberry syrup with the milk mixture and froth them together, before adding to the espresso & mocha mixture. The result is a pink coloured milk froth with a light strawberry sweetness to it that accentuates the dark chocolate and espresso notes in your mocha. Tasty!

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Mocha Recipe


2 tbsp (1 oz) Torani Dark Chocolate Sauce or Monin Dark Chocolate Sauce
1 tbsp (1/2 oz) Torani Strawberry Syrup
1 cup (8 oz) Milk
2 shots espresso, or 4 oz strong brewed coffee

Add 1 tbsp Torani Strawberry Syrup to 1 cup milk. Stir to combine, then froth the milk. In a heat resistant glass, add in 2 tbsp Torani Dark Chocolate Sauce, and brew 2 shots espresso or 4 oz strong brewed coffee over the chocolate sauce. Stir to mix any remaining unmelted chocolate sauce with the espresso. Add the milk and strawberry mixture, and top with the strawberry milk froth. Enjoy!

Optional topping idea: Drizzle some chocolate flakes, chocolate syrup or cocoa powder on the top for an extra treat, or slice a strawberry to add to the cup rim!
